Creating a new Data Warehouse Database

STEPS;

   Open MICROSOFT SQL SERVER MANAGEMENT STUDIO
When you first time open it, the default window is like that.
 

 


·         Just click connect, and connection will be made.
·         Now we have default directory structure look like that;

Instead of WAQAR-PC you may have some other name of the server
·         Now right click on database, click new database. New window will open

·         Here, give the Database a name, and set the owner to administrator, so that you don’t have any issues in the future.
·         Than click on the options and set the recovery model to simple.
·         Then click ok, and a new database is created, show bellow;




You may not have the AdventureWorks2012 and AdventureWorksDW2012 files.
But it is because in the next video we will add them as well.
